Q: How do I sign up for Daily Bread?
A: You must live in either the McCormick Park or Stonebridge neighborhood. If you are a resident of McCormick Park, you will need to bring a form of identification that includes your name and current residence (i.e. valid ID, phone bill, cable bill, etc.) each time you pick up your groceries. Distribution occurs at the CHARISM Family Center at 622 23rd Street South. If you have additional questions about the program, contact Julia Campbell, Daily Bread Coordinator, 701-241-9385 or jcampbell@charism.org.
Q: How do I volunteer for an activity or program?
A: If you are interested in volunteering for one or our programs, contact Julie Gunkelman, Executive Director, at 701-241-8569 or jgunkelman@charism.org. You can also go to our volunteer page and complete the questionnaire. Someone will respond to you within the week.
Q: How do I make a contribution?
A: Financial contributions may be made over the phone with a credit card, or mailed to our South campus at 3350 35th Avenue South, Fargo, North Dakota 58104. Q: What is CHARISM?
A: CHARISM is a non-profit, neighborhood-based organization that seeks to provide outreach programs for low-income individuals and families. We connect people to essential programs as Daily Bread, ESL classes, and after-school enrichment for youth. We are not a daycare, social services, or goodwill.
The primary purpose of our organization is to empower individuals by impacting their lives and helping them find the skills and tools needed to find autonomous success.
Q: What is the source of funding for CHARISM?
A: CHARISM's primary source of funding is through grants and donations.
Q: What is unique about CHARISM?
A: CHARISM is neighborhood-based, which means that our offices and services our purposely located within walking distance of our clients. Because many low-income individuals and families struggle with barriers to transportation, we make our services available in their backyard.
