Community Outreach
Community outreach at CHARISM offers opportunities for education, socialization, and personal connections. Individuals from either the McCormick Park or Stonebridge communities are welcome to partake in any of the services or programs listed below. Don't forget to check out our calendar for activities that may not be listed on this page.

Daily Bread WHEN: 5:30-6:00pm, Every Friday
WHERE: McCormick Park and Stonebridge campuses
WHAT: A program of Great Plains Food Bank. Excess, perishable food is donated by grocery stores and distributed at CHARISM on Fridays from 5:30pm to 6:00pm. Recipients must bring a form of identification in order to receive food and live in either the McCormick Park or Stonebridge neighborhoods. |
Food & Fun WHEN: 6:00-7:00pm, Second Monday of Every Month
WHERE: McCormick Park Family Center
WHAT: Open to families of both McCormick Park and Stonebridge, Food & Fun offers a homemade meal and a chance to interact with your neighbors. Each month features a different meal (i.e. baked potato bar, build-your-own taco, pancake feed, etc.). |

Outdoor Barbecues WHEN: Seasonal
WHERE: McCormick Park and Stonebridge campuses
WHAT: A great way to kick off the Summer or celebrate the beginning of Fall, outdoor barbecues are open to individuals and families living in the neighborhoods. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and whole lot of fun can usually be found on the menu! |
Holiday Parties WHEN: Seasonal
WHERE: McCormick Park Family Center
WHAT: Easter egg hunts, Halloween costume parties, and community Thanksgiving dinners are just a few of the ways that CHARISM celebrates the holidays with its neighborhoods. |
